Built-up type molds for Bloom/Tube molds :

Chuetsu started it's business in 1949 with the production of copper and copper alloy castings and forgings. In 1961, Chuestu succeeded in the manufacture of high quality copper molds for continuous casting of ferrous & non-ferrous metals, and since then production and sales of the molds have grown rapidly because of our excellent quality, product longevity and competitive pricing. Chuetsu has now become one the leading mold manufacturers in the world.

Chuetsu molds are supplied in a variety of materials: pure copper, silver bearing copper and precipitation hardened copper alloys including Chuetsu's proprietary "ES" and "PH" alloys.

Our Copper plates for built-up type molds are manufactured by forging. In comparison to rolled copper plate our forged copper plates contain a uniform grain structure and uniform mechanical properties throughout the plate.

Ring Molds :

Chuetsu provides single sourcing for finish machined forged casting wheels to produce a high strength, fatigue resistant forged casting wheels to meet your most demanding rod mill requirements. We maintain an extensive inventory of casting wheel-specific grades such as Chrome Zirconium Copper and Silver Copper for immediate production response. These results add up to casting wheels with the longest service life available in the industry.

Copper Crucibles for VAR :

Vacuum Arc Remelting (VAR), a technology typically utilized for the production of titanium, nickel and steel ingots, require copper crucibles to maintain it's function. Our Copper Crucibles are manufactured by forging as one solid piece with flange. without welding. The benefit of this method is that the service life and integrity of one solid piece is considerably longer than that of conventional crucibles fabricated by welding.

Chuetsu molds are supplied in a variety of non-ferrous materials: pure copper, silver bearing copper and precipitation hardened copper alloys including Chuetsu's proprietary "ES" and "PH" alloys.

Copper Crucibles for ESR :

Electroslag remelting (ESR) furnaces are intended for production of high-quality steel ingots of round, square and rectangular cross-sections and also of hollow billets and shaped castings. Chuetsu manufacturers the copper crucible component in maintaining the functionality of this furnace.

Tube Molds for Billet:

Our tube molds are manufactured by cold drawing with a sufficient ratio of reduction and have high strength and homogenous quality. As numerous steel mills have started the use of tube molds made of precipitation hardned alloys, such as: CRM-A, CCM-A and PH-24 they have found excellent results in performance.
